Five on trend reds for nails

Goodbye nudes, hello reds! Bright reds to deep burgundy coloured nails were all the rage at AW2017 New York Fashion Week. And, I’m glad to see them back on trend – red nails are a perennial beauty classic – timeless, sophisticated, and chic.

So, if you’re looking for some inspiration here’s some of the prettiest red hues to adorn your nails with this season.

Revlon Revlon Red

This classic is decade’s old, proving that red is always in vogue. Created in the 1930s, it’s still a bestseller for good reason. It’s a classic red colour, neither too dark or too light. Perfect if you’re looking for a great red polish at an inexpensive price point.

Dior Rouge 999

Featuring Dior’s signature flat brush applicator this polish applies like a dream. The pillar box, true red colour is an enviable classic that suits all skin tones too with an amazing high shine to it.

Chanel Coromandel

If you can’t stretch to one of Chanel’s famed quilted bags, their polishes are a good place to start if you fancy investing in a luxury brand. Coromandel is from Chanel’s Le Vernis collection. It’s a beautiful punchy red with a subtle shimmer that just looks gorgeous on.

Butter London Rebel Fox

This is such a gorgeous deep vampy red, it can’t fail to wow. The polish has gold metallic hints that seriously take nails up a notch. Perfect for the upcoming festive season when a little bit of shimmer is a must.

Essie Fishnet Stockings

Great for wintery nights, this darker shade of creamy red looks wonderful against any complexion. Essie nail varnishes are a perennial favourite too, thanks to their long-lasting, easy to apply formulas.
